Abandoned Honor Farm

from Michael Chase

Georgia Honor Farm.
Inmates at this facility, who served sentences for ordinance and traffic offenses, were routinely assigned to farming, livestock, cannery and dairy operation details. This enabled the detainees to benefit from vocational training and contribute to their sustenance. The 77-year old prison farm, though effective in the past, became too inefficient to manage the change in the detainee population and was consequently closed forever in 1985. A fire in October 2009 left the Honor Farm like this.

Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, edited with Final Cut Pro.

from Michael Chase

  • Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, Handheld out the back right door of a Robinson R44 helicopter.
  • World's Largest Single Building Illumination Celebrating Coca-Cola Co. 125th Anniversary

To celebrate 125 years since the first Coca-Cola was enjoyed on May 8, 1886, The Coca-Cola Company sent a spectacular visual "Thank You" through the world's largest single building illumination of its headquarters tower in Atlanta.

The illumination show features the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle projected in 3-D across the 26 stories of the building. The entire Coca-Cola North Avenue tower in Atlanta -- which is 26 stories high. The building is canvassed in scrim to display the projection, making it the world's largest single building illumination, according to the company.
